Job summary

CLA is seeking an Audit Director for the National Assurance Group to support Private Industries practice with deep audit technical review experience. This role reports to the Managing Principal of Service and can be located in any state.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in complex debt and equity transactions, business combinations, going concern considerations, and restatements, and will lead engagement teams across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6 years of experience in a public accounting environment or equivalent.
• CPA or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience driving strategic management required.
• Current on professional standards, FASB, GAAS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; analytical and decisive.

Responsibilities

• Interact and collaborate with others across Firm levels and with clients as needed.
• Perform the quality control review of assurance engagements.
• Analyze observations, perform root cause analysis, and develop process improvements.
• Be a technical resource for engagement teams on standards and GAAP.
• Develop and maintain assurance methodology and learning aids.
• Develop thought leadership for internal and external users.
