Job summary

CLA is seeking an Audit Director in the National Assurance Group to support the Private Industries practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive audit technical review experience with FASB reporters and can be located in any state.

You will lead quality control reviews, analyze findings, and collaborate to develop process improvements, serving as a technical resource for engagement teams and contributing to methodology development and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6 years of experience in a public accounting environment or equivalent.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Supervisory experience driving strategic management.
• Knowledge of professional standards (FASB, GAAS).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to teams and clients.
• Ability to use assurance research tools effectively.
• Collaborative approach to technical accounting topics.
• Location is flexible.

Responsibilities

• Interact with colleagues across all levels and with clients as needed.
• Perform quality control reviews of assurance engagements.
• Analyze observations, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements.
• Serve as a technical resource for engagement teams on standards and accounting principles.
• Assist in developing and maintaining assurance methodology and learning aids.
• Develop thought leadership for internal and external users.
