Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking an Audit Director to join the National Assurance Group, supporting Private Industries such as Real Estate, Retail, Healthcare, and International clients. The ideal candidate has extensive audit review experience, deep understanding of FASB and GAAP, and can lead complex debt and equity transactions.

This high-impact role reports to the Managing Principal of Service and offers location flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6 years of experience in a public accounting environment or equivalent.
• CPA or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience driving strategic management.
• Current on professional standards, FASB, GAAS.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to engagement teams and clients.
• Ability to use assurance research tools effectively.
• Ability to collaborate effectively on technical accounting and assurance topics.
• Location is flexible.

Responsibilities

• Interact and collaborate with others across all levels of the Firm and on occasion with clients.
• Perform the quality control review of assurance engagements.
• Analyze observations, perform root cause analysis, and proactively collaborate to develop process improvements.
• Be a technical resource for engagement teams assisting in research and consultation for the application of professional standards and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Assist in development and maintenance of assurance methodology and practice aids for implementation of new standards and related learning.
• Develop thought leadership for internal and external users.
