Job summary

A public accounting firm is seeking an Audit Director to lead assurance engagements for state and local government clients. This position combines technical oversight, client leadership, team development, and practice growth.

Direct multiple government audits, advise on accounting and internal controls, and drive staffing, budgets, and client communication while coaching staff and pursuing new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years in public accounting with at least 2 years at Senior Manager level.
• Active CPA license and a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Strong command of GAAS, Yellow Book (GAGAS), and Uniform Guidance requirements.
• Experience leading teams, maintaining senior client relationships, and winning new work.
• Willingness to work at client sites and travel occasionally overnight.
