Job summary

Affinity Gaming is seeking an Audit Clerk in Las Vegas to perform the daily audit of casino gaming and non-gaming operations, ensuring accuracy of figures and postings against original documents. The role includes receiving transaction reports, reconciling data, and issuing exception reports to uphold internal controls.

Education required is a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree in finance or accounting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive Casino-related Transaction Reports with supporting documents for Title 31 Auditor.
• Reconcile reports to supporting documents per internal gaming controls.
• Issue Exception Reports for non-compliance with controls.
• Coordinate with lead audit clerk or Accounting Supervisor on revenue discrepancies and adjustments.
• Prepare daily recurring journal entries to record daily activity.
• Compile and distribute audit reports per policy.
• Maintain complete audit records for proper retention.
• File documents and reports for reference.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Job description

TheAudit Clerkis responsible for the daily audit of various casino gaming and/or non-gaming operating departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for verifying accuracy and correctness of figures, calculations and postings of all recorded transactions against original documents.
• Receives any Casino-related Transaction Reports with associated supporting documents for Title 31 Auditor.
• Reconciles reports to supporting documents in accordance with established internal gaming controls, as outlined on daily/weekly/monthly/annual checklists.
• Issues Exception Reports for any instances of non-compliance with established internal controls.
• Coordinates with the lead audit clerk or Accounting Supervisor concerning revenue discrepancies and proposed adjustments to be made to correct the same.
• Prepares daily recurring journal entries to record daily activity, as appropriate.
• Compiles all reports pertaining to the daily audit operations and distributes/saves in accordance with the distribution list/policy.
• Maintains complete audit records in an organized manner for proper record retention as per company policy.
• Files all documents and computer reports for future reference.
• Other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. Associates’ Degree in Finance or Accounting-related field strongly preferred.
