Job summary

RSM US LLP in Davenport, IA is seeking an accounting internship to work with client companies across industries. Interns will build relationships, understand client needs, and gain hands-on experience with audit approaches and financial statement drafting.

Travel to client locations is required; a reliable transportation plan is expected. Aiming for 90 credit hours and progress toward BA/BS with an accounting major, applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.0 are preferred.

Qualifications

• 90 credit hours completed.
• Working towards BA/BS degree or equivalent from accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Travel to assigned client locations is required; reliable transportation to those locations is expected.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, GAAP/GAAS issues.
• Developing an understanding of the RSM audit approach and tools.
• Assessing risks and evaluating client internal control structures; performing substantive tests.
• Drafting financial statements under prescribed formats.
• Communicating engagement findings with teams and clients.
