Job summary

MBE CPAs in Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level Audit/Assurance Associate to support the audit team in examining client financial records for GAAP compliance and firm standards. The role targets candidates with 0–2 years of public accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, with CPA eligibility preferred.

Onsite work is preferred, with hybrid/remote possible based on location and experience.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of audit or public accounting experience (internships welcomed).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA eligible or intent to pursue CPA preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team.
  • Candidates willing to work onsite preferred; hybrid/remote may be considered based on experience and location.

  • Assisting with audit engagements, including testing, documentation, and preparation of workpapers.
  • Analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting issues and escalating findings.
  • Learning and applying audit methodologies, standards, and firm procedures.
  • Working closely with Audit Seniors and Managers to complete engagements efficiently and accurately.
  • Communicating with clients as directed and providing a professional, positive experience.
  • Building foundational knowledge of clients' businesses and industries.
