Job summary

Clark Nuber is seeking an Audit Associate to execute audit, review and compilation engagements in line with professional standards. You will apply testing techniques such as vouching and tracing, assist with planning, and document work using Microsoft Office tools and engagement software.

Qualifications

  • CPA licensure credits needed by start date (June/October 2027).
  • Accounting majors preferred, others considered.

Responsibilities

  • Execute audit, review and compilation engagements following standards.
  • Perform audit procedures: vouching, tracing, observing, recalculating, footing and reconciling.
  • Assist with engagement planning and prepare schedules and budgets.
  • Document work using Word, PowerPoint, Excel and related software.
  • Participate in wrap-up, development activities, and timely engagement completion.
  • Communicate status and issues clearly to supervisors and peers.
  • Conduct technical research on issues arising during engagements.

We’re passionate about our profession, enjoy life, and support the communities in which we live and work.What you'll do as an Audit AssociateExecute audit, review and compilation engagements following appropriate professional standards.Execute appropriate auditing techniques such as vouching, tracing, observing, recalculating, footing and reconciling to verify management assertions in order to issue an opinion regarding client financial statements.Assist with engagement planning when requested to include updating of audit plans, preparation of client request schedules, preparation of engagement time budgets, and rolling forward engagement binders.Effectively and efficiently use technology tools in the documentation of your work product and communications including Engagement, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Active Data, and other software as necessary.Participate in engagement wrap up tasks and activities to ensure timely completion of engagement.Participate in professional development activities to enhance professional knowledge.Perform other duties as assigned by manager to support the needs of the organization.Establish annual goals in line with the overall team and firm.Demonstrate strong analytical skills and assess sufficiency of testing results against your established expectations.Demonstrate thoughtful professional judgment, self-accountability, integrity, teamwork and ability to work independently.Communicate clearly and concisely to supervisors and peers regarding project status, open items, and identified issues both verbally and in writing.Perform technical research on issues that arise during the course of your assigned engagements.What we’re looking forApplicants must ensure the completion of the credit requirements needed for CPA licensure by the time employment begins with the firm in June or October 2027. Accounting majors are preferred, although other majors will be considered.Strong communication skills, both written and oral; diversity of activities and interests; the desire to be continually challenged; and the ability to think creatively to bring solutions to clients.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
