Job summary

Purvis Gray is seeking an Audit Staff professional to join our Assurance Services team. This Florida-grown firm offers hands-on experience serving clients across government, nonprofit, construction, healthcare, and more.

You'll work with experienced team members from day one, gaining real responsibilities and opportunities to grow in public accounting. Ideal for recent graduates or those with 0–2 years of audit experience seeking a solid foundation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); CPA certification or active pursuit preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and execution of audit and assurance engagements.
Perform fieldwork including substantive testing, internal control evaluations, and data analysis.
Prepare workpapers in accordance with firm standards.
Support the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
Participate in client meetings and communicate effectively with engagement teams.
Research and apply U.S. GAAP and relevant auditing standards.
Address client questions and issues with professionalism and accuracy.
Contribute to the development of interns and collaborate across teams.
