Job summary

Purvis Gray is seeking an Audit Staff to join our Assurance Services team in Florida. Whether you're a recent graduate or have 0–2 years of experience, this role offers hands-on experience serving clients across government, nonprofit, construction, healthcare, and more.

You'll assist in planning and executing audits, perform fieldwork, prepare workpapers, and support financial statement disclosures while adhering to firm standards. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 0–2 years audit experience in public accounting or internships.
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and GAAS.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and standard accounting software.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of audit engagements.
• Perform fieldwork including testing and internal control evaluations.
• Prepare workpapers in accordance with firm standards.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
• Participate in client meetings and communicate effectively with engagement teams.
• Research and apply U.S. GAAP and auditing standards.
• Address client questions and issues with professionalism and accuracy.
• Contribute to the development of interns and collaboration across teams.
