Are you a detail-driven and analytical accountant with a passion for risk management and process improvement? As a Senior Audit Accountant, you'll bring strong communication, analytical insight, and adaptability to uphold GAAP standards and best practices across this large public organization.

This is a 100% remote role requiring up to 30% travel within the United States.

• Perform reviews to ensure compliance with accounting policies, US GAAP, and financial regulations.
• Prepare reports and monitor remediation efforts to improve adherence to internal accounting policies and practices.
• Guide and review the work of staff accountants to maintain high audit standards.
• Collaborate across departments to support accurate and consistent financial reporting.
• Extensive domestic travel required.

Senior Audit Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; CPA a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting; public accounting and/or internal audit experience preferred.
• Experience in the automotive industry highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP, debits/credits, financial reporting, and risk assessment processes.
• Proficient in data analysis tools and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present findings to leadership.
• Deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
