Job summary

Freddie Mac’s Internal Audit Internship offers exposure to business, technology, data analytics, and risk management. You will help strengthen controls and learn auditing techniques, with a strong emphasis on automation and AI-enabled auditing.

Interns are paid at $32 per hour, gaining practical experience across diverse audit engagements and cross-functional collaboration within Freddie Mac’s risk management framework.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, MIS, or related field.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 – May 2028.
• Interest in data analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, risk management, or auditing.
• Experience with or exposure to data analysis tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or similar technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support high-impact audit engagements that evaluate key business processes, risks, controls, and strategic initiatives across Freddie Mac.
• Utilize data analytics, AI tools, and automation techniques to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with audit professionals across multiple disciplines, including business, technology, quantitative risk, and operational audit teams.
