Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CAOHC certification required prior to hire to access DOEHRS-HC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of Audiology Technician experience and healthcare knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs audiology assessment and treatment interventions.
• Exercises clinical judgment and adapts procedures to patient needs.
• Documents information in the medical record / EHR.
• Supports clinical and surveillance audiology programs under supervision.
• Conducts non-diagnostic otoscopy and hearing examinations per CAOHC.
• Troubleshoots and repairs hearing aids; tests and pairs devices via Bluetooth.
• Programs stored settings into hearing aids and triages requests.
• Manages hearing aid supplies, schedules appointments, and mails accessories.
• Calibrates hearing and related testing equipment.
