Job summary

All American Hearing is seeking an Audiology Extern in Louisiana to assist with a full range of audiologic services, including diagnostics, fittings, and patient counseling. You will work under the supervision of a Preceptor and participate in TeleHear remote services as allowed by state law and academic guidelines.

The externship emphasizes hands-on experience with premium hearing instruments, patient education, and collaboration with sales and support teams to ensure a positive patient journey.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited Audiology graduate program; eligible for Externship year
• Obtain Audiology temporary licensure in the state of employment, if required by state law
• Minimum one year of clinical practice experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct hearing assessments including pure tone and speech audiometry, immittance testing, and vestibular evaluations
• Perform fitting of hearing instruments and accessories
• Counsel patients on pricing, warranties, and follow-up care
• Document SOAP notes and coordinate with Preceptor for cosignatures
• Assist with tele-auditory services through TeleHear program
