HearingLife in Toledo, OH is offering an Audiology Doctoral Externship designed to kick-start your clinical career with hands-on experience and close mentorship.

As part of a nationwide hearing care network, externs gain practical exposure to evaluations, fittings, and patient education, with opportunities to interact with a supportive national peers group and participate in workshops. The externship offers competitive pay ($19–$23/hr) and comprehensive benefits; AuD students are eligible.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in an AuD program.

Responsibilities

• Learn from your preceptor during hands-on evaluations and patient education.
• Document appointments and clinical notes.
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments for hearing devices.
• Order and service hearing aids and manage earmold impressions.
• Conduct follow-up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic meetings and team discussions.
• Support any task beneficial to the clinic.
