Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support licensed Audiologists with specialized testing, equipment management, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with pediatric and elderly testing by confirming and collecting behavioral responses.
  • Prepare patients for various clinic testing procedures.
  • Collect pre-test screenings and instructions.
  • Collect and organize requested records.
  • Maintain loaner hearing aid stock and manage the database.
  • Clean and organize the clinic according to infection control procedures.
  • Order and stock supplies across sites.
  • Document in Practice Perfect and Noah electronic medical records.
  • Maintain clinical equipment, clinic and research files, records, and supplies.
  • Enter and extract data from databases.
  • Coordinate patient appointment instructions.
  • Schedule returns of ear molds, hearing aids, accessories, and supplies to families.
  • Communicate with families and outside professionals or organizations as directed, following HIPAA regulations.

Job description

  • Support licensed Audiologists with specialized testing, equipment management, and record-keeping

Requirements
  • High School Diploma for appointment as Audiology Aide Trainee
  • For Audiology Aide appointment: completed approved training program and approved application to the Ohio Board of Speech and Hearing Professionals (OSHPB), or completion of the required training program and application
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Good phone etiquette/customer service skills
  • Ability to interact with university and clinic staff at all levels
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages and caregivers
  • Follow ethics laws and rules, including HIPAA regulations
  • Criminal background check required
  • Cover letter and resume required
  • Must participate in E-Verify
