Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Staff Audiologist to join our hospital’s Audiology and ENT team in the Bronx. You will provide diagnostic and consultative audiologic services for patients across the lifespan in a dynamic medical setting.

The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, experience with pediatric and adult populations, and a collaborative approach. Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5 PM with 7.5 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology (MA/MS, AuD, or PhD).
• Current New York State Audiology License (or eligibility).
• ASHA CCC-A or ABA certification preferred.
• Experience with pediatric and adult populations strongly preferred; new graduates with strong pediatric rotations are welcome.
• Strong diagnostic skills and comfort working in a medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Evaluations - Perform age-appropriate hearing assessments including behavioral audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, otoacoustic emissions, and electrophysiologic measures (ABR, ASSR).
• Newborn Hearing Screening & Follow-Up - Conduct screenings and diagnostic evaluations for infants referred from the hospital’s newborn hearing program.
• Electrophysiologic & Specialized Testing - Complete diagnostic ABR/ASSR evaluations across the lifespan; support vestibular assessments as part of ENT services (training available).
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Partner with otolaryngologists, pediatric specialists, speech-language pathologists, and other clinical teams to coordinate care.
• Patient & Family Counseling - Provide clear, developmentally appropriate education regarding hearing status, communication strategies, and follow-up recommendations.
• Clinical Documentation & Compliance - Maintain accurate EMR documentation and adhere to hospital, state, and professional standards.
