Job description

This position is a part-time role working 32 hours per week.

Job Summary
  1. Apply audiological principles in selecting appropriate test procedures and interpreting results, including otoscopic examination, behavioral testing, pure-tone and speech audiometry, speech-in-noise testing, impedance testing (tympanometry, acoustic reflex, reflex decay), otoacoustic emissions testing, and other assessments for patient management across the lifespan.
  2. Conduct patient-centered amplification practices, including hearing aid evaluations, fittings, counseling, and assistive listening devices.
  3. Implement hearing conservation and protection strategies, including ear plugs, muffs, and custom noise protectors.
  4. Experience with vestibular assessment (ENG/VNG) and cochlear implant mapping and follow-up is strongly preferred.
  5. Prioritize quality patient care; maintain ongoing education to meet licensure requirements.
  6. Maintain high standards of work ethic, patient care, billing, coding, and record-keeping.
  7. Practice universal precautions and ensure safety and cleanliness in the clinical environment.
Education Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Audiology or Communication Disorders required.
  • Doctorate in Audiology or Communication Disorders and certification required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Foster positive relationships with physicians, staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Engage in community service activities such as speaking engagements, advocacy, and support groups.
  • Adhere to pricing policies and maintain supplies.
  • Follow clinic policies regarding documentation, billing, and patient care.
  • Supervise graduate audiology students during externships.
  • Participate in department meetings and provide input on audiological services.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified or certifiable for CCC-A from ASHA upon hire.
  • Licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing upon hire.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Includes sitting, standing, walking, occasional climbing, bending, lifting, pushing, reaching, grasping, and manipulation. Work involves occasional noise and hazards, with specific hearing and vision requirements detailed.
