Job summary

Trusted Medical, PLLC is seeking a licensed Audiologist to support VA disability assessment programs. You will review medical and military records, interview Veterans, perform in-clinic examinations, and synthesize evidence to form opinions on service-related conditions.

Responsibilities include chart reviews, interviews, testing, and timely document submission. Licensure in the practicing state and BLS certification are required; part-time schedule is 20 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in Audiology required or equivalent.
• Active, unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Audiology experience considered a plus (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

Trusted Medical, PLLC is the clinical care delivery affiliate of Edera ("www.edera.com"). We specialize in serving Veterans by reducing wait times for them to gain access to disability screens and separation health assessments required by Veteran Affairs (VA) to receive b enefits. In addition to our core work with VA, Trusted Medical holds multiple government contracts nationwide, allowing our providers to also participate in occupational health services for their applicants and employees. This includes pre-employment screenings, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and other health assessments that support a wide range of government agencies.

Job Description

This role supports the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in conducting assessments for Veterans leaving military service or applying for disability benefits from the VA. You will apply your expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of audio conditions to support a Veteran ’ s disability claim with the gathering and synthesizing of clinical evidence through medical and military record review, interviews with Veterans, and in-clinic face-to-face examinations. You will then develop a medical opinion of likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service.

Duties include the following

• Thorough chart review
• Conducting in person interviews with Veterans
• Administer ing and interpret ing diagnostic tests (Immittance, AC/BC, Speech Testing)
• Timely chart submission in accordance with VA requirements
• Basic equipment upkeep, supply inventory, and audiolog y suite management
• Follows all medical laws, guidelines, regulations, and standards.

Education/Experience:

• Doctorate Degree in Audiology ( AuD ), Masters Degree in Audiology (MA), or Masters of Science Degree in Audiology (MS)
• An active and unrestricted license in the state in which exams are performed.
• Audiology Occupation: 1 year (Preferred , Not Required

License/Certification:

• Audiologist License (Required)
• Professional Board Certification (P referred, not required )
  • If no professional certification is held, you must be able to confirm your degree was obtained at an accredited university
• Current BLS Certification (Required)

Technological Skills:

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)

• Offices are open Monday - Friday 8:00am-6:30pm
• Shifts can be completed in either 4, 8 or 10 hour blocks

Immunizations Required:

• TB Screening (less than one year old)
• Hep B Titers (less than 1 year old)

Immunizations Strongly Recommended:

• COVID vaccination and boosters
• MMR Titers (less than 1 year old)
• Varicella Titers (less than 1 year old)
• TDAP Immunization (less than 10 years old)
• Flu Immunization (within current season)
