Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking an Audiologist II to join our hospital-affiliated team.

The staff clinician will provide diagnostic and treatment services for the general population across the lifespan, with emphasis on pediatric audiology and hearing aid dispensing. Requirements include a graduate or postgraduate degree in audiology (MA/MS/Au.D./Sc.D./Ph.D.), ASHA CCC-A, and at least 2 years of hospital-based clinical experience, plus BLS.

The Audiologist II performs as a staff clinician, utilizing the professional skills of an audiologist to provide diagnostic and treatment services for the general population across the lifespan.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• A graduate or postgraduate degree in the area of audiology (MA, MS, Au.D., Sc.D., or Ph.D.).
• Previous hearing aid dispensing and pediatric audiology experience.
• Possesses and demonstrates knowledge of Central Auditory Processing Disorders and the assessment of Central Auditory Function utilizing behavioral measures and electrophysiological measures.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Maintains ASHA CCC-A.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Audiology License.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• Maintains required continuing education requirements for Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Licenses (currently 20 hrs. biannually for each license).
• Eligible for current hearing aid dispensing license (temporary license is acceptable for first six months only).
