Responsibilities

• Performs cochlear implant procedures and/or intra-operative monitoring 30–50% of time.
• Provides diagnostic evaluation of hearing and habilitation/rehabilitation services.
• Examines external ear and may fit, program, or dispense hearing aids; assess cochlear implants; electrophysiologic evaluation.
• Counsels individuals with auditory disorders and families regarding etiology and management.
• Provides reports and coordinates audiological results with other diagnostic data.
