Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California seeks a licensed Audiologist to provide diagnostic evaluations of auditory and vestibular systems and assess neurological status in both adults and children. Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology required.
• Audiologist License (California) required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• One year of experience as an Audiologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Selects, performs, and interprets diagnostic test data for pediatric and geriatric populations, vestibular function, and facial nerve integrity.
• Counsels patients and informs them of future therapeutic plans.
• Provides mobile diagnostic services for inpatients, ICU, NICU, and operative patients.
• Performs evaluations, assessments, and referrals for hearing aids.
• Keeps accurate and comprehensive records in patients' medical charts and department files.
• Performs daily equipment calibrations, maintains equipment, and initiates repair requests.
• Instructs monthly patient education class.
• Assists families with placement into appropriate education settings for hearing-impaired children.
• Serves as a resource for hearing and vestibular assessment and rehabilitation to physicians and staff.
• Maintains professional competency.

Job Summary:

Provide diagnostic evaluations of the auditory and vestibular systems and aid in assessing the neurological status of adults and children. Provide direction, counseling, and recommendations regarding the rehabilitation of hearing impaired patients. Determine whether severely hearing impaired patients are candidates for cochlear implant surgery. Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Selects, performs, and interprets diagnostic test data for: Pediatric and geriatric populations, vestibular function, and facial nerve integrity.
