Overview




Audiologist II provides proficient medical audiologic services for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of hearing loss. Proficiently provides diagnostic and rehabilitative audiologic services to children from birth to 21 years of age. Provides audiologic services and serves as a resource to multidisciplinary teams including Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Clinic, Down Syndrome Clinic, Turner Clinic, NEON clinic, ENT clinic, and other specialties as needed.

If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.






Responsibilities




    In accordance with certification and licensing standards, proficiently performs and documents diagnostic and rehabilitative interventions to evaluate, diagnose and treat hearing loss.
  • Continues education, training, and instruction to acquire new skills and competencies.
  • Participates in activities to increase the quality, efficiency and outcomes of patient care with increased leadership and responsibility.





Qualifications




  • Other Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD/PhD) and Experience beyond externship not required. Pediatric externship experience preferred but not required. or
  • Master's Degree Master's in Audiology (if obtained prior to 2006) Required and 5+ years' experience required. Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Licensed Audiologist MO
  • Employees must obtain Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology or equivalent within 90 days
  • Employees must obtain Licensed Audiologist MO or equivalent within 60 days
  • AUD LIC KS Licensed Audiologist KS (Required if working in KS) Required 60 Days
  • AUD LIC MO Licensed Audiologist MO (Required if working in MO) Required 60 Days
  • HEAR AID LIC KS Licensed Hearing Aid - KS (Required if working in KS) Required 60 Days
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (ASHA) Required 90 Days

Starting Pay




Our pay ranges are market competitive. Your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.






Remote Work/Work from Home




This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
