Job Summary - Audiologist:
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is actively seeking a full-timeAudiologist to join our growing team! This position will work 40 hoursper week Monday through Friday at our Louisville, Boulder andLongmontclinics. We are seeking candidates that will work withPediatric and young adult patients as well as candidates that haveexperience working with all ages and performing Cochlear implantevaluations and mapping.
Job Duties - Audiologist:
- Performs comprehensive hearing assessments including healthhistory, ear exams, hearing screenings/comprehensive evaluations andidentified hearing risks/needs.
- May perform cochlear implant evaluations and mapping.
- Completes case management activities consistent with departmentquality assurance and quality improvement standards.
- Collaborates with family, physicians, schools and othereducational institutions, and other providers to ensure thecontinuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services.
- Completes diagnostic evaluations and provides developmentallyappropriate intervention services consistent with contemporary,evidence-based practice in audiology and department qualityassurance standards.
- Performs evaluations and fittings of assistive listening devicesand hearing protection.
- Formulates the appropriate differential diagnosis based onclinical evaluation.
- Plans and implements therapeutic regimens that include bothaudiology and medical management strategies.
- Establishes a systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan ofcare and re-assesses and modifies the plan as necessary.
- Uses appropriate communication to consult with physician andfacilitate patient compliance/cooperation with the treatment plan.
- Adheres to department protocols/policies in an effort to provideconsistent care.
Experience and Skills
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrates patience, tact, and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients.
- Strong demonstrated Audiology skills.
- Must be able to recognize and identify patients' symptoms and useinitiative and professional judgment in determining appropriatecourse of action.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) required.
- Audiologist license in the state of Colorado.
Previous Experience:
- 2 years experience providing pediatric audiology services inpediatric setting.
- Experience with pediatric and adult cochlear implants and BAHAs.
- Experience performing hearing test for adults with fitting anddispensing of hearing aids.
Salary Range- $70K - $105K / annually; depending on experience.
