Job description

Are you a Licensed Audiologist looking to take on an assessment role?

Would you find it rewarding to serve the Veteran community?

We are seeking an Audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

The Veteran files the claim before the appointment, and all medical records are uploaded into a computer portal for review. You will conduct a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Additionally, you will complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the portal, which provides the medical evidence necessary for the VA to determine the veteran’s benefits.

Note: Audiologists will NOT prescribe medical treatments or devices.

This position involves reviewing and assessing an average of 3-6 Veterans per day.

Schedule

Part-Time or Full-Time options are available.

Position Details

This is an IN-PERSON role with scheduled appointment times of 1 hour to 1 hour & 30 minutes per patient. There are no evenings, no on-call duties, no weekends, and no hearing aid sales involved.

Requirements
  • Hold an Au.D. degree from an ASHA-Accredited program.
  • Possess a current license as an Audiologist.
  • Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
