Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Audiologist at the GS-11/12 level. The role includes diagnostic evaluation, balance and hearing treatment, fitting hearing aids, and vestibular rehab across VA sites.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen per VA policy.
• License to practice audiology in a U.S. state/territory.
• Doctoral degree in audiology or related field from ACAE/CAA accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, and coordinates diagnostic evaluation and treatment of hearing/balance disorders.
• Routinely floats between VA sites of care.
• Direct patient care including hearing aids, aural rehabilitation, and counseling.
• Administers tests including vestibular function assessments.
• Maintains and calibrates audiology equipment and devices.
• Provides consultation to other facility personnel on audiology matters.
