Job description

Responsibilities

The Listen For Life Center at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced, full-time cochlear implant audiologist to join our team and help bridge the gap between hearing loss and effective communication. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a dedicated group of cochlear implant audiologists and surgeons in a collaborative team setting within one of the largest programs in the Northwest.

You will make a profound difference in the lives of individuals with hearing loss. By combining advanced technology with personalized care, you will foster patients' awareness of the hearing world around them, as well as improve communication and quality of life.

Duties
  • Evaluation and counseling, programming, troubleshooting, remote care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, audiologists, and coordinators for cochlear implant patients
  • Providing counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, and technology
  • Staying up-to-date with advancements in cochlear implant research and technology
  • Participating in existing clinical research projects and developing new research initiatives
Qualifications

We Require

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional patient service
  • Proficiency in conducting patient assessments, interpreting test results, and programming patients with all three FDA-approved cochlear implant devices
