Job description

Are you a Licensed Audiologist looking to take on an assessment role?

Would you find it rewarding to serve the Veteran community?

We are seeking an Audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

The Veteran files the claim before seeing you, with all medical records uploaded into a computer portal for review during the appointment. You will conduct a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. The Audiologist will complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the computer portal, which forms the medical evidence for VA benefits decisions.

This position does NOT involve prescribing medical treatments or devices.

You will review and assess an average of 3-6 Veterans per day.

Schedule: 3 days/week (rooms are open Monday, Thursday, and Friday). This is an IN-PERSON position with 1 to 1.5 hours per patient. No evenings, on-call duties, weekends, or hearing aid sales.

Requirements:

• Au.D. degree from an ASHA-accredited school
• Current license as an Audiologist
