Job description

Are you a Licensed Audiologist looking to take on an assessment role?

Would you find it rewarding to serve the Veteran community?

We are seeking an Audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

The Veteran files the claim before the appointment, and all medical records are uploaded into a computer portal for review. You will conduct a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Additionally, you will complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the portal, which provides the medical evidence needed for VA benefit decisions.

Note: Audiologists will NOT prescribe medical treatments or devices.

This position involves reviewing and assessing an average of 3-6 Veterans per day.

Schedule: Part-Time — Weekends

This is an IN-PERSON role offering 1 to 1.5 hours per patient, with no evenings, on-call, or weekend work beyond the scheduled assessments. There is no hearing aid sales involved.

Requirements:

  • Au.D. degree from an ASHA-Accredited program
  • Current license as an Audiologist
  • Credentialing aligned with VA requirements
