Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a part-time Audiologist to cover nursing facilities across Rhode Island. This mobile role involves patient exams, hearing aid evaluations, and independent practice with full administrative support and 100% malpractice coverage.

You’ll travel within RI, maintain state licensure, and manage documentation in HealthDrive’s EMR system. Flexible scheduling with strong autonomy and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Masters or AuD in Audiology required or equivalent.
  • Current state professional license.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive audiology exams and evaluations.
  • Conduct hearing aid assessments, selections, and repairs.
  • Dispense and fine tune hearing devices.
  • Perform cerumen management as allowed by regulation.
  • Document patient care and coding in the EMR system.
  • Ensure proper billing codes for services provided.
  • Follow OSHA guidelines for patient care and sterilization.

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Audiologist, to work Part-Time (2 days/week), covering nursing facilities across Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

Role Overview & Responsibilities for Audiologists:

  • Conduct comprehensive examinations, evaluations, and auditory consultation.
  • Traditional daily patient care will include comprehensive diagnostic audiological examinations, hearing aid evaluations, hearing aid selections and repair.
  • Dispense and adjust new hearing aids.
  • Perform cerumen management, where allowed by state professional regulations.
  • Complete required patient and clinical documentation in our proprietary electronic medical record system.
  • Responsible for applying proper coding guidelines and populating appropriate billing codes for services provided to patients.
  • Adheres to OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Audiology background with proficiency in the assessment, treatment, management and evaluation of hearing disorders.
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use EMR, text, email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
  • Self starter attitude with the desire to deliver quality, thoughtful and attentive care.

Physical Requirements for Audiologist:

  • Ability to stand, to bend, and to lift.
  • Ability to transport mobile audiology equipment (maximum of 15 lbs.).
  • May be occasional required to transport patients in wheelchairs.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Audiology
  • Current State professional license.
  • Valid driver's license.

Travel:

This is a mobile position. Daily travel is based on the patient care requirements for the specified service area; your Practice. A valid driver's license and the ability to drive significant distances on occasion is required.
