Job summary

Lexington ENT in Columbia, SC is seeking a licensed audiologist to determine hearing impairment levels and implement habilitation strategies on a full-time, day-shift basis. The role requires a Master’s in Audiology and an SC audiology license.

You will administer and interpret a range of audiological tests, evaluate results with families and educators, and collaborate with speech pathologists and other professionals to plan treatment and prevention programs.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Audiology or AuD.
  • SC Audiology License.
  • No minimum years of experience required.

Essential Functions
  • Administers and interprets variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests, to determine type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, effects on comprehension and speech, administers vestibular testing, and recommends treatment.
  • Evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, speech pathologists and other professionals to determine communication problems related to hearing disability.
  • Plans and implements prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services, including hearing aid selection and orientation, counseling, and other treatment programs developed in consultation with speech pathologist and other professionals.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • May refer patient to physician or surgeon if medical treatment is determined necessary.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
