Position Summary
The Clinical Audiologist will be responsible for the assessment and diagnosis of hearing and balance disorders in patients. Identify and treat hearing loss, balance disorders, and provide rehabilitation and counseling to patients.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiologic evaluations from infancy to adulthood (CAE, tympanometry, etc.).
- Demonstrate clinical competency in diagnostic ABR (threshold and neuro), VEMP, and ECoG testing.
- Perform otoacoustic emissions testing and newborn hearing screening (AABR and OAE).
- Conduct vestibular function testing including VNG and VHIT, interpret results, and make recommendations.
- Interpret diagnostic findings and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, families, and physicians.
- Conduct cochlear implant evaluations and make recommendations.
- Perform cochlear implant programming and follow-up.
- Operate Osseo integrated devices and perform programming.
- Collaborate with other audiologists and physicians as needed.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Willingness to travel to other office sites as required.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) required.
- New York State Hearing Aid Dispensing License.
- Current New York State Audiologist license and CCC-A certification (ASHA).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital/ENT setting preferred.
- Proficiency in EPIC is a plus.
