Job summary

A leading medical institution in Boston seeks an experienced Audiologist to perform comprehensive audiologic services for diagnosis and rehabilitation of hearing loss. The ideal candidate will have a Doctoral degree in Audiology, relevant certifications, and at least one year of experience in a medical setting. Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree with a major in Audiology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from ASHA.
  • Massachusetts license to practice Audiology.
  • One year of professional full-time work experience.
  • Experience with diagnostic audiologic testing of patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive audiologic services for hearing loss diagnosis.
  • Conduct diagnostic evoked response audiometry.
  • Evaluate and dispense hearing aids.
  • Perform cochlear implant evaluations.
  • Counsel and rehabilitate patients.
  • Conduct electrodiagnostic evaluations of ear disease.

Job description

Independently performs comprehensive professional audiologic services for the diagnosis and rehabilitation of hearing loss and diseases of the head and neck.

Provides comprehensive audio logic services by performing:

  • diagnostic evoked response audiometry
  • hearing aid evaluation, fitting and dispensing
  • cochlear implant evaluations
  • counseling, referral and rehabilitation
  • electrodiagnostic evaluations of ear disease, including tests of facial nerve and vestibular function
  • intra-operative monitoring of cranial nerves

Doctoral degree with a major in Audiology.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Massachusetts license to practice Audiology.

One year of professional full-time work experience (including traineeship), preferably in a hospital or medical private office setting.

Experience with diagnostic audiologic testing of patients of all ages.
