Job summary

American Communications Solutions is hiring an Audio-Visual Installation Technician to support DoD events at the Fort Meade Conference Center. The role involves installing, maintaining, and servicing professional AV and related systems, with travel to CONUS locations as required.

Responsibilities include operating live audio/video for conferences, running soundboards, managing mics, and coordinating with event staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years installing audiovisual equipment (video panels, speakers, mics).
• Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Comfort with live event environments and quick problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Operate live audio, video, and control systems during conferences and events.
• Run soundboards and manage microphone systems for speakers and panels.
• Route video content, switch sources, and operate cameras during live events.
• Support VTC calls and in-call testing and troubleshooting.
• Install, repair, and test AV systems per docs and industry standards.
• Maintain updated as-built documentation of installed systems.
