Job summary

San Manuel is seeking an Audio Visual Technician - IT under the direction of the Supervisor, Audio Visual - IT. The role provides in-depth design, installation and support for enterprise A/V systems and trains end users while handling day-to-day requests.

Responsibilities include setup and operation of microphones, projectors, displays; maintenance; onsite/offsite event support; digital signage and streaming support; inventory tracking; and documenting resolutions to improve the knowledge base.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years AV-related experience preferred.
• Experience with projectors, microphones, speakers, displays and related gear.

• Provides technical PC and peripheral support as needed.
• Supports audio/video streaming platforms to ensure correct content delivery.
• Tracks and maintains inventory of A/V equipment in a centralized database.
• Performs onsite and remote testing for Yaamava’ Resort & Casino and tribal locations.
• Documents troubleshooting steps to reduce resolution time.
• Performs other duties to support department operations.

Job description

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Audio Visual - IT , the Audio Visual Technician - IT provides in-depth technical design, installation and support for all audio visual (A/V) systems. –This role provides training and ongoing support to end users and manages the day to day enterprise requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1. Set-ups, tests and operates a variety of A/V equipment including, but not limited to, microphones, speakers, projectors, video screens, and video monitors.
2. 2. Performs necessary maintenance and repairs of all equipment and expedite maintenance issues as necessary to appropriate service vendors.
3. 3. Transports, set-ups, removes and operates A/V equipment for onsite meetings and events.
4. 4. Operates digital signage and audio software to meet enterprise requirements around music genres, volume and input/outputs.
5. 5. Provides technical support for personal computer (PC) and peripheral devices, as needed.
6. 6. Supports Audio and video streaming platforms to ensure correct content is being delivered to the appropriate areas.
7. 7. Tracks and maintains inventory of A/V equipment leveraging a centralized asset management database.
8. 8. Performs onsite and remote testing for the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino and all Tribal locations.
9. 9. Documents troubleshooting and resolution steps via the existing knowledge base program to reduce resolve time.
10. 10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two (2) years of audio-visual related experience, which includes working directly with projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and LCD/Plasma displays required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

• Experience working with digital signage software such as Industry Weapon, Crestron, Orange Door, and SpinetiX is preferred.
• General technical aptitude in audio visual technology, computers or networking.
• Requires knowledge of network hardware and software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure that a non-technical end user and/or senior executive can understand.
• Ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients.
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
• Ability to work any assigned shift (day/swing/graveyard).

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS

• At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
• As a condition of employment and shift rotations, candidates and incumbents may be required to pass pre- and post-employment screening including Live-Scan, background, drug testing, and tuberculosis (TB) testing.
• Driving Responsibilities: Role requires regular commuting between locations. A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits is required. Role will not operate or drive Tribe-owned vehicles or patron vehicles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS – ENVIRONMENT

• Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.
• Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
• Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
• Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.

• Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
• Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
