AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking an Audio/Visual Technician responsible for setting up, operating, and striking AV equipment for events and performances. The role requires strong teamwork, customer service, and the ability to troubleshoot on the fly.

The position demands a flexible schedule with some travel, excellent interpersonal skills, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. CTS certification is a plus, and 5+ years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of experience in a relevant AV field.
• Current trade certifications in AV (CTS preferred).

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Sets up, operates, and strikes audio/visual equipment within assigned venues, projects, or events. Demonstrates expert knowledge of AV equipment for live shows, broadcasts, and events. Takes direction for completion of team objectives in assembly of gear and checking equipment from crew chief or lead. Maintains excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Utilizes proficiency in the use of personal computers, including programs such as MS Word. Holds technical AV certifications such as CTS (a plus). Operates AV equipment with full understanding of signal flow and equipment specifications. Installs, sets up, stores, ships/transports, and maintains all owned and/or rented audio/visual equipment. Troubleshoots technical problems as they occur. Assists in maintaining venue or event-specific inventory of all technical equipment. Determines equipment shortages while preparing equipment orders and offers substitutions. Keeps open lines of communication with management at all times. Installs, tests, and troubleshoots AV systems. Uses Excel and Outlook for various tasks. Maintains a positive and professional image. Remains calm under pressure. Other duties as assigned.
