Job summary

Bestica is hiring an Audio/Visual Specialist to support Wright-Patterson AFB operations in Dayton, OH. The role covers multimedia creation, classroom equipment support, and collaboration with instructional designers to develop graphics for online courses.

The ideal candidate brings a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in AV tech, strong Adobe skills, and project management ability, with DoD branding awareness. Monday–Friday schedule with standard government site duties and secure environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronic media, video broadcast, or related field or 5+ years in Audio-Visual tech.
  • Proficient with Adobe programs including Premier Pro, Audition, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Captivate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; able to manage projects independently and in a team.
  • Experience with Tricaster and educational technology; able to work with DoD branding/docs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in inventory and maintenance of studio AV/equipment.
  • Edit multimedia projects per Government direction.
  • Assist with inventory coding, storage, and disposal of AV equipment.
  • Provide AV consultation to instructors and staff; demonstrate classroom equipment.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to create graphics for online learning products.
  • Edit, design and produce audio, video, photography content for advertising.
  • Support marketing and mass communications activities and branding guidelines.
  • Lead and collaborate with a team of professionals to meet strategic communication goals.
  • Ensure products meet AFRL/PA branding and related requirements.
  • Plan and perform video post-production: editing, color correction, effects, and formats.
  • Participate in other projects including eLearning symposiums and partnerships.
  • Support, evaluate, and manage educational technology as directed.

Job Location: FOPR 26-15 - Dayton, OH 45433, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Job Shift: Day, Bestica is hiring for an Audio/Visual Specialist to provide services at Wright Patterson Air Force Base located in Dayton, OH.

Scope of Work

The employee shall meet all requirements per the basic contract and provide a professionally and technically qualified individual to perform all tasks in the following paragraphs to fulfill the requirements of this task order. The employee shall provide the expertise listed below to the USAFSAM Department of Education (USAFSAM/ED), Education Delivery Division (EDE), Academic Development Branch (EDMS). USAFSAM/ED directs daily academic operations for USAFSAM and establishes student training policies. ED executes the student management and accounting for 4,000 students annually as well as the faculty development, instructor evaluation, and student evaluation programs. Community College of the Air Force requirements for affiliated schools are implemented, and curriculum development and revisions are led by ED staff. ED is responsible for creating an academic environment conducive to learning, providing academic counselling, and convening the Academic Review Board when necessary. Distance learning courses are produced and managed through this department. USAFSAM/EDMS is responsible for educational research and technology. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained in this Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Mandatory Qualifications
  • The candidate shall at a minimum have a bachelor’s degree in electronic media, Video Broadcast, or a related field, and/or at least 5 years of Audio-Visual Technology experience. Broadcast production experience with progressive responsibility in a professional video edit/production environment demonstrating competency in all areas of video production desired. Experience developing e-learning packages for distribution on learning management systems
  • The employee shall be proficient with Adobe programs including Premier Pro, Audition, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Captivate; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; must have ability to manage projects independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to work through problems quickly and independently.
  • The employee shall be proficient with Film Theory; educational theory a plus; broadcast experience a plus; Tricaster® experience a plus.
  • Employee must have a Non-Disclosure Agreement in place with their company, and the company must provide a copy to the Program Manager of this task order. This is necessary to mitigate transfer of any confidential, proprietary and/or sensitive information while in this position.
  • The employee employees shall possess: organizational skills, ability to achieve set goals; initiative in performing assigned tasks; ability to follow-up complex projects with influence, and integrity; and ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel within and outside of the organization.
Highly Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense branding and communication policies (ex. Tongue and Quill).
  • Experience working in the military setting, understanding of rank structure, policies, and procedures.
  • The employee employee shall have expertise in Office 365 tools (ex. MS Windows, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, MS Teams, MS Planner, MS Power BI, Microsoft Forms).
Tasks
  • The employee shall assist in the inventory and maintenance of the studio audio visual/computer-related equipment as directed by the Government representative.
  • The employee shall edit all multimedia projects that were previously developed, as directed by the Government representative.
  • The employee shall assist with the ordering, storing, coding/entering inventory into database, and disposing of all audio visual/computer related equipment as directed by the Government representative.
  • The employee shall provide audio visual consultation to instructors, leaders and staff, including demonstrating and teaching the use of classroom equipment.
  • The employee shall consult with subject-matter experts and/or an instructional designers to convey a specific message to a targeted audience through a visual medium by building quality graphics for online learning products, including computer-based training courses, classroom technical inserts, and stand-alone training products such as video or audio-based instruction. The employee will provide consultative support to subject-matter experts and/or instructional designers desiring to develop their own graphics/content.
  • The employee shall edit, create, design and produce, audio, video, photography, and other multi-media content for advertisement needs as directed by the Government representative.
  • The employee shall exhibit and apply expertise in professional marketing and mass communications activities, supporting communications and marketing activities.
  • The employee shall demonstrate and exhibit an ability to lead and participate in a team of mass communications professionals working in tandem to achieve strategic communications goals.
  • The employee shall ensure that all products developed meet the requirements set forth in the AFRL/PA brand book and other applicable requirements for the development of branding, creating logos, coins, and marketing materials.
  • The employee shall plan and perform video post-production tasks which include reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, tape logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing using; utilize computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts; compress video projects for output; make video products available in a variety of formats; coordinate internal and external duplication services as required.
  • The employee shall participate in and support other projects within skill sets; project may include writing continuity documents, attending or presenting at local eLearning symposiums, defining capabilities for potential customers, collaborating with local colleges or multi-service partners, and supporting other special projects.
  • Support, evaluate, consult, and manage all educational technology as directed by Government representative
