Job summary

FORTÉ in Atlanta seeks a Sales Engineer to join our presales team, delivering technical consultancy and product demonstrations for customers, partners and prospects. You will design and configure AV solutions that meet specific needs and showcase features to drive sales.

You will engage with project managers and executives, analyze hardware/software options, and participate in shaping formal sales plans and proposals to move opportunities forward.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing audio, video and presentation systems.
• Familiar with CAD software and reading engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of videoconferencing products and unified communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to support architecture, installation and planning of AV solutions.
• Research and analyze capabilities of available hardware and software options.
• Interact with customers through the sales cycle, from managers to executives.
• Design AV systems integrating hardware and software components to meet customer needs.

The Sales Engineer partners with our Sales Teams in a pre-sale’s technical role, providing technical consultancy and specialized support to augment the sales effort, giving demonstrations and technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects showcasing A/V product solutions, explaining features/benefits to customers and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to support the architecture, installation and planning of audio, video and control solutions
• Research and analyze the capabilities of available hardware and software options
• May have direct customer interaction through the life cycle of a sale, communicating with all levels of staff and customers, ranging from project managers to corporate executives
• Design audiovisual systems of various hardware and software components that work together as one integrated system and that meet customers specific needs
• Assists with the development of formal sales plans and proposals

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems
• Knowledgeable of control systems programming as well as CAD Software and drawings
• Communication, leadership, customer relation skills, and the ability to work independently and to be self-directed have direct results on success in this position
• Ability to read engineering schematics and communicate design intent
• Expert level knowledge of videoconferencing products and unified communications technologies
• CTS and CTS-D certifications are a plus, but not required with the right experience. Any other industry related certs or training are also a plus. (Ex: Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure etc.)
