This General Manager will be working out of the Denver Branch, in Denver, Colorado.
The General Manager is the operational manager, people leader, and on-site brand representative of INSPIRE in the area. This person is responsible for the financial performance, profitability, and growth of the event business in a given metro area. This leader will draw from their extensive leadership experience in the industry and work closely with the INSPIRE Executive Team to develop the business strategy, oversee its implementation, and adjust, as needed, to maintain strong business results and team morale.
Essential Job Functions:
Business Strategy & Management
- Coordinate with the Executive Team and other Branch leaders to craft a business strategy that is aligned with company objectives and plans
- Determine areas for growth and improvement and formulate solutions for the branch.
- Follow through with business plans to reach targeted revenue and profit goals.
- Driving projects to profitable completion, ensuring customer fulfillment, often with tight deadlines.
Leadership
- Provides leadership, direction, and inspiration.
- Promote and create a positive and high-performing teamwork environment with all employees.
- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, either local or corporate mandated.
- Communicate with the department leaders on a regular and ongoing basis to ensure that overall sales and operational goals are being met.
- Establish staffing requirements; interview, hire, and train.
- Plan and manage the activities of a sales team with effective recruiting, training, and interaction.
- Set sales goals and lead the team to achievement.
- Assist and lead sales efforts with the sales team to ensure sales goals are met.
Manage Operational Performance
- Instill daily working norms, set standards, oversee daily operations, and plan the best use of materials and team resources.
- Ensure operational excellence and consistency in event execution, maintaining high standards across all customer touchpoints. Hold the team accountable for exceptional customer service and professionalism, reinforcing client satisfaction as a top priority.
- Oversee warehouse operations and inventory management to ensure organization, cleanliness, and efficiency that support event success.
- Train and mentor team members to plan logistically, build accurate show plans, and implement contingency strategies to overcome challenges.
- Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
- Direct financial and budget activities for project operations; maximize resources and increase efficiency and profitability.
Other Required Abilities
- Professional presentation skills required.
- Comfortable in front of high-visibility clients and industry professionals.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Solid 5 plus years’ experience in management or operations.
- A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or Economics is preferred.
- Familiarity with the latest audiovisual equipment, technologies, and capabilities would be a definite plus.
- Should have prior experience in managing or supervising a diverse, talented, creative, and dedicated staff.
- A track record of maintaining and improving momentum, reputation, and profitability.
- Exceptional verbal, written skills, and PC proficiency.
- Able to travel, and possess & maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and driving check.
