ICS is hiring A/V Installation Technicians!

Industrial Communication & Sound (ICS) (www.icands.com) is an award-winning, full-service Audio Visual and Security Integration firm with locations in Columbus and Cincinnati.

  • ICS is a subsidiary of CTL Engineering (www.ctleng.com) – a full-service consulting engineering firm with 15 locations across OH, IN, WV, KY, NC, SC, and VA, with a rich history of over 98 years. We provide civil/site design, land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting, installation, and specialized testing services to the construction industry.

We are seeking skilled Audio/Video Installation Technicians (low voltage) to play a key role in installing cutting-edge AV and low voltage system solutions for our regional clients. You will leverage your expertise in AV technology and creative problem-solving skills while collaborating with institutions, municipal agencies, architects, engineers, and project teams to deliver customized AV designs that exceed expectations.

Highlights:

**No extensive travel** – our clients are regional, typically within a 90-minute radius, primarily within 30-60 minutes of travel.

* A company truck will be provided.

* Our office is currently in west Columbus, moving to New Albany in early 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing security, access control, CCTV, and AV systems for various clients, including corporations, educational facilities, museums, municipalities, and houses of worship.
  • Providing system maintenance and repair.
  • Working independently under the supervision of a Department Manager.
  • Troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
  • Terminating and installing devices, headend, and programming access control, CCTV, and security systems.
  • Completing work efficiently and productively.
  • Following instructions from Lead Technicians and Project Managers.
  • Collaborating with trades, subcontractors, and customers on-site.
  • Assisting with system setup, testing, and customer demonstrations.
  • Ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Basic electronic principles knowledge.
  • Good computer hardware and software skills.
  • Familiarity with audio, video, and security concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service, leadership, and work habits.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Reliability, punctuality, teamwork, quality focus, and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in low voltage, AV, security, access control, intrusion, or surveillance industries.
