Job summary

Ford Audio-Video is seeking a hands-on Field Engineer to test, troubleshoot, and fine-tune commercial audio, video, and control systems across diverse environments. You will travel to project sites to ensure each system performs at its best.

Responsibilities include running performance checks, troubleshooting on-site, and configuring IP-addressable devices while delivering detailed handovers. Domestic and international travel are required to support installations and client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience testing and troubleshooting commercial AV systems.
• Familiarity with control systems and digital signal processing (DSP).
• Basic networking knowledge (IP configuration, routers/switches).
• Willingness to travel frequently (domestic + international).
• Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Commission AV systems and run performance checks for full functionality.
• Troubleshoot on-site to minimize downtime.
• Verify and configure label connections and IP-addressable devices; complete detailed system handovers.
• Travel frequently to support installations locally and internationally.
• Work with clients to ensure finished systems meet expectations.
