About Hollywood Park

Hollywood Park, a near 300-acre sports and entertainment destination, is being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke with the 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium as its centerpiece. Hollywood Park is the largest urban mixed-use mega development under construction in the Western United States. When complete, Hollywood Park will have up to 2,500 residences, a hotel, a retail district reaching up to 890,000 square feet, up to 5 million square feet of office space, and more than 25-acres of public parks and open space.

As the Audio Engineer - YouTube Theater, You Will

The Audio Engineer will be responsible for Overseeing Audio Engineering for SoFi Stadium and the Performance Venue. Technical implementation and maintenance of SoFi Stadium / Performance Venue Control Room, and Audio Equipment, as well as assistance in overseeing and maintaining internal and 3rd party events, IPTV distribution.

More Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To..

  • Ensure industry standard performance of all audio systems for a dynamic range of live
  • and recorded events.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot line array systems, amplifiers and audio DSP.
  • Provide world-class audio reinforcement as a FOH engineer for live events.
  • Support live performances, broadcast and recorded events as audio monitor engineer.
  • Setup, support and troubleshoot multitrack recordings.
  • Troubleshoot multiple large scale digital audio networks and implement best practices for routing and monitoring.
  • Program and deploy in house intercom systems. Interface external or supplemental intercom systems.
  • Program and deploy radio frequency systems and associated antenna systems.
  • Set up, operate and break down audio equipment necessary for live, broadcast and recorded events.
  • Represent Hollywood Park as a professional lead audio engineer, working with visiting audio personnel and facilitating external audio system integration.
  • Supervise contract engineers, part time staff, outside vendors and interns during installation, operation and maintenance of audio systems.
  • Train and provide technical direction to assigned staff and interns.
  • Maintain and repair audio equipment throughout the venue, perform preventative maintenance and use available system protection tools.
  • Maintain firmware and software updates on all audio and networking equipment.
  • Install, integrate and maintain new equipment, software and systems.
  • Maintain documentation of maintenance, changes and new implementations of audio systems.
  • Work with IT and video departments to transport digital audio signals from source to destination.
  • Assist Production Managers with technical advance specific to audio.
  • Assist in providing support material for future HWP development and assess needed technological changes.
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment, climb stairs, walk long distances when required.
  • Build and repair audio signal and speaker cables.
  • Other duties may be assigned


We’d Love to Hear From People With...

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience as an audio technician or engineer in broadcast touring and live audio
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting audio hardware and software, digital consoles, and outboard processors
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, team building and leadership skills.
  • Capable of working in the fast pace and deadline oriented environment of production and broadcast while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service.
  • Have a strong fundamental understanding of audio signal flow, troubleshooting techniques and available troubleshooting tools.
  • Detailed understanding of digital audio protocols and networking (Dante, AVB, Optocore, MADI, AES, IP 2110 multicast architecture.).
  • Experience with industry standard audio systems, processors, amplifiers and associated control programs (L’Acoustics, D&B, JBL, Meyer , Qsys, Direct Out ETC).
  • Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting industry standard audio consoles (Digico, Yamaha, Avid, Allen & Heath ETC).
  • Skills required to connect digital or analog multitrack recording systems to Digital Audio Workstations and troubleshoot recording programs.
  • Experience with deploying RF and communication systems.
  • Ability to rapidly diagnose audio and network systems and provide alternative solutions to maintain production deadlines.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings, schematics and materials.
  • Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Be able to work effectively with managers and other departments, receiving and communicating instructions in order to execute tasks.
  • Able to set priorities under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to accommodate shift changes including extended hours, weekends, and evenings
  • Experience with soldering, building and repairing cables and equipment.

Compensation: $100,000 - 130,000/ year

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Hollywood Park considers a candidate’s education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances, if an external candidate has the experience, credentials, or expertise far exceeding what is expected for the position, would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
