Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in audio production, engineering, editing, or post-production.
• Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, Music Production, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Pro Tools expertise; familiarity with Logic Pro and Ableton Live.
• Strong understanding of professional recording, editing, mixing, mastering
• Demonstrated experience recording and editing spoken-word content
• Experience with narrative audio, sound design, Foley, or audio drama production strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of microphones, signal flow, acoustics, recording equipment, studio systems, and audio troubleshooting.
• Experience with dialogue cleanup, noise reduction, restoration, and processing of recorded speech.
• A highly developed ear for audio quality and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with creative storytelling and artistic direction.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both creative and technical team members.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and resourceful when addressing technical or production challenges.

Responsibilities

• Record, edit, mix, master, and deliver high-quality audio for a wide range of projects.
• Support audio production for the Amen App, including prayers, meditations, reflections, podcasts, and other audio experiences.
• Engineer and produce audio dramas, including dialogue recording, sound design, ambience, Foley, music integration, mixing, and mastering.
• Record and produce podcasts, interviews, voiceover, narration, audiobooks, music, and other studio-based audio content.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot professional recording equipment, microphones, studio systems, and related hardware.
• Manage and maintain audio sessions and projects within industry-standard digital audio workstations (DAWs).
• Apply balance, dynamics, and processing as needed to achieve professional results.
• Create and implement sound design that supports storytelling, atmosphere, and the overall creative vision of a project.
• Collaborate with producers, directors, writers, composers, and other creative team members to determine recording and post-production approaches.
• Participate in recording sessions and provide technical and creative guidance to voice talent and other contributors when appropriate.
• Ensure audio meets appropriate technical specifications and quality standards for digital distribution, mobile applications, streaming platforms, and other delivery formats.
• Organize, archive, and maintain audio files, sessions, sound libraries, and project assets in accordance with established Studios workflows.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide audio-production support to members of the Studios team.
• Help maintain and improve studio workflows, recording practices, and postproduction processes.
• Stay current with developments in audio technology, recording techniques, software, plugins, and emerging production tools.
• Contribute creatively to the ongoing development of Augustine Institute Studios'
