Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform load-in and load-out of band and rental equipment.
• Set up and break down band and event equipment.
• Cabling and patching with the crew as a team.
• Make audio adjustments, maintaining safe audio levels.
• Operate a professional mix on audio control boards.
• Oversee visiting audio techs during shows.
• Protect, maintain, and repair audio equipment.
• Assist with production throughout the house as needed.
• Assist the Production Manager with technical advance with artist representatives.
• Ensure proper care and handling of all house and rental audio equipment.
• Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show.
• Distribute or create audio plans.
• Operate systems pertaining to audio throughout the venue.
• Ensure events' audio needs are met with professionalism.

Audio Engineer – Position: Audio Engineer, Department: Production, Reports To: Production Manager and Director of Operations, FLSA Status: Part-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Legends Global has an immediate opening for an Audio Engineer at the Boeing Center at Tech Port located in San Antonio, Texas. The Audio Engineer is responsible for ensuring the success of show and event productions by performing the technical aspects related to the show(s) production. Assist in all aspects of stage operations, assist in all on-site A/V operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform load-in and load-out of band and rental equipment
• Set up and break down band and event equipment
• Cabling and patching while working together with the entire crew as a team
• Make audio adjustments, maintaining safe audio levels
• Operate a professional mix on audio control boards
• Oversee visiting audio techs, especially during shows
• Protect, maintain, and repair audio equipment
• Assist with production throughout the house as needed
• Assist the Production Manager with the technical advance with artist representatives
• Ensure proper care and handling of all house and rental audio equipment
• Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show
• Distribute or create audio plans
• Operate systems pertaining to audio throughout the entire venue
• Ensure special events audio needs are scheduled and met and executed with the utmost professional attitude
• Maintain a relationship with local and national audio vendors
• Assist lighting crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
• Assist with any special events operations

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Experience with pro audio systems, stage lighting and basic video systems
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in touring or stage production
• Proficiency with all Microsoft applications
• Superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• High school diploma (additional experience may substitute for education)
• Preferred: College degree or technical college certificate

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Advanced working knowledge of audio engineering practices and principles
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedules
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, board of directors, volunteers, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment
• Flexible hours based on events, including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays as needed
• Dante/MADI/AES certification is a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
