Job summary

Skyworks is seeking a current student for a summer 2027 internship in Hillsboro, OR, to join the AI group and help research and develop cutting-edge speech and signal processing algorithms for edge devices.

You will work onsite for 3 months (May–Aug 2027), develop neural networks, port and test on microprocessors, and contribute to real-time audio algorithms while learning from a team that values clean code, Linux, Python, and embedded programming.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student; master's or PhD preferred.
• Commitment to onsite work for 3 months (May–Aug 2027).
• Experience with at least one deep learning framework (TensorFlow preferred).
• Understanding of NN layer types and math operations.
• Programming in Python and C/C++ (embedded programming preferred).
• Knowledge of bit-level representations for integer and float types.
• Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu).
• Git version control experience.

Responsibilities

• Development of neural networks.
• Analyze neural network efficiency and performance.
• Port to and test neural networks on microprocessors and other constrained devices.
• Develop neural network based real-time audio algorithms that are memory and computationally efficient.
• Research state of the art neural networks in the audio domain.
