Qualifications

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and cross-platform analytics to measure ROI and conversions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage ad budgets, media schedules, and data workflows.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication with stakeholders.

Audience Marketing Specialist

The Audience Audience Marketing Specialist serves as the central operational engine and acquisition driver for the BMG Audience Development and Subscription Marketing team. This cross-brand role is responsible for executing performance marketing initiatives to grow audiences across MM+M, PRWeek, Campaign, and MCK, while streamlining data collection, maintaining subscriber databases, and executing monthly analytics workflows.

By combining hands‑on paid campaign management with key operational support, this role actively drives new reader acquisition while enabling subscription marketers to optimize revenue generation. The ideal candidate is a hybrid growth marketer who is highly organized, analytical, and skilled at deploying paid media strategies alongside cross‑platform audience management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, build, and execute paid acquisition campaigns across SEM (Google Ads), paid social (LinkedIn, Meta), and programmatic advertising networks to drive new subscriber acquisition, high‑value readers, and lead generation.
  • Test and optimize diverse growth tactics including retargeting, native advertising, affiliate partnerships, and sponsored content programs to continuously expand brand reach and lower cost‑per‑acquisition (CPA).
  • Monitor daily spend, creative performance, and conversion paths to continuously AB test ad copy, landing pages, and audience targeting parameters.
  • Maintain monthly KPI trackers across all portfolio brands. Consolidate acquisition and engagement performance across paid channels, search engine marketing, social platforms, and site traffic.
  • Process subscriber reclassifications, perform data verification checks within Omeda, and manage newsletter counts and onboarding tracking systems.
  • Extract lead and requestor data for webinars, e‑books, and CPL programs (including print/postal compliance). Deliver print order counts based on accurate audience figures.
  • Build, deploy, track, and manage incentive payments for audience surveys. Conduct competitive analysis and research market trends to identify untapped growth channels and audience segments.
Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, or audience development.
  • Hands‑on experience or working knowledge of managing search engine marketing (SEM), paid social ads platforms (LinkedIn, Meta), and programmatic/display networks.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel formulas, pivot tables) and cross‑platform analytics to measure campaign ROI and conversion metrics.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage ad budgets, media schedules, and database workflows simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to articulate campaign performance insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary publishing technologies, marketing automation tools, and database systems.
