Job summary

Sunset Porsche Audi in Beaverton, OR is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to oversee daily operations in our shop. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong mechanical knowledge, and a focus on quality and safety while driving efficiency and employee development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 5+ years in a shop environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong mechanical and technical knowledge relevant to the industry.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate shop employees, assigning tasks based on project priorities.
• Ensure all work is completed on time and meets quality and safety standards.
• Monitor and maintain shop tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Train and mentor employees to improve efficiency and skill level.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues, providing guidance and solutions.
• Communicate with management and other departments to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Enforce company policies and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant standards.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks on completed work.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance schedules, and employee performance.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations of shop personnel.
