Job summary

Morgan Stanley, via Parametric, offers a hybrid role in Investment Management. The Analyst, Performance Attribution, will create performance analytics for external distribution, collaborating with portfolio managers and multiple teams to ensure timely, accurate reports.

The position requires a 4-year quantitative degree and 2+ years of experience, with strong Excel and data tools knowledge to support client service and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Understanding of attribution theory and practice.
  • Thorough knowledge of asset management and alternatives (derivatives, fixed income, cash equities, mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity).
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles; interpret performance impact of transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc performance attribution analyses for institutional and wealth clients.
  • Coordinate commentary with portfolio managers.
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all requests.
  • Develop knowledge of Parametric products and strategies and support data integrity.
