Job summary

Merlin Entertainments is seeking an Attractions Supervisor to lead ride operations, safety practices, and guest experiences at our park. You will work with the operations management team to drive KPI-focused targets and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include conducting rider training, managing payroll-related duties, and coordinating with entertainment for events. A minimum of two years in a supervisory role and CPR/First Aid training are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory experience in operations within a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, leisure, hotel, or theatre environment.
• Must be able to pass and maintain a CPR and First Aid Instructor training provided by Peppa Pig Theme Park.
• Experience in dealing with guests in difficult situations and maintaining high service levels in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations management to create, drive, maintain, and exceed KPI experience targets for the operations department.
• Ensure the safe operation of all rides while complying with Merlin Entertainments, state and federal rules and guidelines.
• Conduct ride training to uphold guest service, presentation, technical operation, and safety standards across all attraction areas.
• Understand risk assessments within attraction and report new risks to the line manager.
• Serve as duty manager and site controller in rotation with operations management, maintaining standards of service, safety and operation.
• Be trained to cover all commercial and guest experience operations.
• Handle administrative duties including payroll, recognition platforms, schedules, recordkeeping, performance tracking documents, and personnel files.
• Support special events including character offsite requests, partnership events, and internal park events.
• Ensure the operations team collaborates with the entertainment team for smooth daily transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Working closely with the operations management team to create, implement, drive, maintain, and exceed KPI (key performance indicators) experience targets for the operations department.
• Ensure the safe operation of all rides while maintaining compliance with all Merlin Entertainments, State and Federal rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Conduct ride training ensuring the highest possible standards of guest service, presentation, technical operation, and safety in all operational areas of the attraction.
• Understand risk assessments within attraction and ensure reporting of any new risks to the appropriate line manager.
• Assumes the position of duty manager and site controller in a rotation with operations management, ensuring the highest possible standards of guest service, presentation, technical operation, and safety in all operation areas of the attraction.
• Trained to cover all commercial and guest experience operations.
• Handle administrative duties including payroll, recognition platforms, schedules, recordkeeping, performance tracking documents, and personnel files.
• Support special events as assigned including character offsite requests, partnership events, and internal park events.
• Ensure the operational team consistently fulfills its responsibilities, fostering collaboration with the entertainment team and supporting a smooth transition into daily operations.

Education And Experience

• Two years of experience in a supervisory position, preferably in operations of either a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, leisure, hotel, or theatre environment.
• Must have the ability to pass and maintain a Peppa Pig Theme Park-provided CPR and First Aid Instructor training.
• Experience in dealing with guests in difficult situations and maintaining the highest level of service in high-pressure situations.
• Experience in a training position preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Physical Demands
