Job summary

The Gallup District Attorney's Office is seeking motivated new attorneys to gain meaningful courtroom experience early in their careers. Our office offers mentorship from seasoned trial attorneys and hands-on exposure to trial work.

New attorneys will handle cases, appear in court regularly, and build strong litigation skills from the outset. Applicants must be admitted to the practice of law in any US jurisdiction, be in good standing, and consent to a background check.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the practice of law in any US jurisdiction and in good standing.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Limited license to practice law under New Mexico Rule 15-304 may be pursued with the office's assistance.

The Gallup District Attorney's Office is currently seeking motivated and dedicated new attorneys who are eager to gain meaningful courtroom experience early in their careers.
Our office offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to immediately engage in trial work while receiving mentorship from seasoned and highly experienced trial attorneys.
We are committed to developing the next generation of prosecutors by providing hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment.
New attorneys will have the opportunity to handle cases, appear in court regularly, and build strong litigation skills from the outset.
Applicant must be admitted to the practice of law in any US jurisdiction and be in good standing.
The applicant will be subjected to a background check.
Our office will help you apply for a limited license to practice law under New Mexico Rule 15-304.

Full Time: Monday-Friday 8-5p

Salary: $90,000- $100,000/ year
